After a five-year hiatus, Ameriie is back with a slight change to her name (notice the two i's) and a brand new single called 'What I Want.'

The funky track samples the classic breakbeat 'Apache' by the Incredible Bongo Band, which the Sugarhill Gang famously sampled as well.

On the song, Ameriie tells her future beau to stop chasing other girls because she has the love and affection he needs.

"Let me be the one and only / That's what I want, that's what I want / You don't have to look no further," she sings on the chorus.

The last time we heard from Ameriie was in 2009, when she released her fourth album, 'In Love and War.' Since then, the 34-year-old singer married her longtime manager, Lenny Nicholson, in 2011.

The songstress is currently working on her next project and is scheduled to perform a few shows in the U.K. this weekend.

"So happy to share new music with you," she wrote to her fans on Instagram.
