Amber Rose Beats Emotional Distress Lawsuit Filed by Wiz Kalifa’s Mom
The emotional distress lawsuit against Amber Rose filed by Wiz Khalifa's mother, Katie “Peachie” Wimbush-Polk, has been dismissed by a Pennsylvania court.
Rose also previously beat the defamation lawsuit filed against her by Wiz's mother, so this is another big win for her.
In the lawsuit, which was filed in August, Wimbush-Polk alleged Rose made a phone call to a third party, in which she reportedly accused Wimbush-Polk of allowing her daughter, Dorien “LaLa” Thomaz to die. The phone call reportedly was made merely months after Thomaz passed away due to complications with lymphoma. Wimbush-Polk sued Rose because she felt the comments were intended to be malicious, harmful to her reputation and deter “others from associating or dealing with her,” adding that it caused her “severe mental anguish.”
However, the judge didn't see it that way, instead saying that "mere insults, indignities, threats, annoyances, petty oppressions, and other trivialities" do not equate to causing emotional distress.
Neither Wiz or Amber Rose have commented about the dismissal of the suit.
