2 Chainz’s next move could be in the world of politics. The veteran rapper is considering a possible run for mayor of College Park, Ga. In a recent appearance on The Daily Show With Trevor Noah, Deuces discussed the possibility of being a mayoral candidate.

The “I’m Different” rapper told Noah that he “can do anything” but the only thing that’s stopping him is that he doesn’t meet all of the requirements to run for the position -- one of them being that you must live in the county you are running for.

However, if he did become the mayor of College Park, Ga., his first order of business is to legalize marijuana. "I would just do things in the community, start with things that I'm basically true to that I have my hand in,” he said.

"I would also deal with funding a lot of the county programs, sports programs, and things like that because I feel like a lot of kids don’t come outside anymore," he continued. "A lot of them either play video games or are on their phones, so I would like to do things in the community to give them something to do 24 hours a day."

This isn't the first time 2 Chainz has mentioned his political aspirations. In 2015, he told XXL magazine that he wanted to run for mayor of College Park. “I’m supposed to be running for mayor in College Park. I got everybody wishing,” he said. “I’m really gonna do this little mayor thing in College Park. I’m just trying to make sure I have the right qualifications."

2 chainz wouldn’t be the first rapper to dabble in local politics. In 2011, Luther Campbell, aka Uncle Luke of the 2 Live Crew, ran for mayor of Miami-Dade County in South Florida. Unfortunately, Campbell lost.
