Shady Records signee Yelawolf has been hospitalized, forcing the rapper to cancel his March 6 performance in Detroit.

The Detroit News reports that the Eminem protege, who was scheduled to perform at Saint Andrew's Hall in Detroit on March 6, was admitted to a hospital Friday (March 2), after performing in Madison, Wis.

"He remains under observation for illness," a statement from promoter Live Nation announced. "At the request of his doctor, the show will be postponed to a later date."

Tickets for the Detroit show may be returned at point of purchase for a full refund, or used at a later date, when the concert is rescheduled.

While little more is known about the reason for Yelawolf's hospitalization, we hope it's nothing serious.
