Yasiin Bey Unveils Album Cover, Track List for Final Album

Before Yasiin Bey retires from rap, he will release his final album in December. His collaborative project with producer Ferrari Sheppard is called December 99th.

The title is fitting since the album will drop on Dec. 9 via Tidal and the collection will only have nine songs. There are no guest features so it's just Bey spitting his insightful rhymes (and we are not mad at that). His previously released singles “Local Time,” “N.A.W.” and “Seaside Panic Room” are on the album as well.

Last week, Bey was finally granted permission to leave Africa but he's not allowed to return to the continent. Immigration officials confirmed that the 42-year-old rapper did leave and was headed to the U.S., although we have not seen any confirm sightings of him yet in the States.

Nevertheless, Bey will perform four final shows in New York and Washington, D.C., next month before he officially retires from rap. Bey said he plans to further expand his creativity in the fashion industry.
