Wale Is Unapologetic on ‘Walk N’ Live’
During his interview with Hot 97 yesterday, Wale promised he was going to premiere a new song. He did just that as 'Walk N' Live' debuted on Funkmaster Flex's radio show hours later.
The new song is one of the rapper's more rugged cuts in his recent discography and sounds like something made for the streets. It melds boom bap and dancehall influences, and even samples its title from the 1997 independent movie, 'Dancehall Queen.'
'Walk N' Live' also works as a response to Wale's vitirolic conversation with Complex Magazine. "I get it, I get it, we all have an opinion / So now you get it, I got a temper, cry me a river," he raps.
