Looks like the DNC is pulling out all the stops to get the youth vote. Ty Dolla $ign and the Black Eyed Peas will headline Rock the Vote's #TruthToPower concert Wednesday night at the Fillmore in Philadelphia.

According to their site, Rock the Vote's Truth to Power campaign is aiming to "engage and mobilize young people in the 2016 election, join artists and activists from across the nation coming together against the backdrop of the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia."

In partnership with #Cut50, the campaign will also host a large-scale pop up exhibition, discussion forum and performances designed to "illuminate the most pressing issues facing young people in the United States today."

Ty Dolla $ign and the Black Eyed Peas will be joined by Mr. Sonny James and Cosmo Baker at the closing concert tonight (July 27). Ty has been active in letting his voice be heard about social justice issues, particularly the killing of black people at the hands of the police. Most recently, he released the song "No Justice" featuring Big TC, which addresses police brutality.

“They say that we’re all created equal,” Ty says on the song. “But ain’t nothing about us equal / You know that there could never be justice when killing us is legal.”

Additionally, Ty Dolla $ign signed on to perform in a free concert series to address the problematic issue of the high incarceration rate among California’s young people. The #SchoolsNotPrisons tour will travel to 11 different California cities including three adult and youth correctional facilities, and kicks off in early August.
