Troy Ave Associate Banga Confirmed Dead After New York Club Shooting
Tragedy has struck Troy Ave and the BSB family. The man who was killed during the shooting at New York’s Irving Plaza on Wednesday night (May 25) was BSB associate Banga.
According to HipHopDX, the 33-year-old man, whose real name is Ronald McPhatter, was shot during the melee and was rushed to Beth Israel Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Two other victims were shot and hospitalized as well. As we previously reported, Troy Ave was grazed in the leg by a bullet. The Brooklyn rhymer is currently recovering at a local hospital.
According to reports, Banga was the bodyguard of Troy Ave who also ran a fitness training company called Big Bizz out of Brooklyn, N.Y.
Earlier today (May 26), NYPD Commissioner William Bratton said that he expects the case to be solved soon. “We feel we’ll wrap it up very quickly,” he said during a radio interview on WCBS 880.
We want to send our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Ronald McPhatter. We also wish Troy Ave and all the victims a speedy recovery. We must stop the violence and increase the peace.
