The Roots Crash Tourbus in Paris
The Roots got into an accident last night in Paris, when their double-decker tour bus did a "360 on the highway and end[ed] up ramped up (the van that crashed into ours was UNDER our double decker bus) in the air," according to the blog post ?uestlove put up minutes later.
Though several of the band members left with "cuts and neck braces," there were no major injuries, and ?uest appears to have survived completely unscathed, having slept on the top deck of the bus, because "i dont do bunks and this day proves why."
Though overwhelmed by the experience, the bandleader was able to twitter immediately, in typical ?uestlove fashion, "Just wanna be the first celeb to twit... from an ambulance."
The accident comes tight on the heels of The Roots' announcement (which has since been wiped from Youtube, ?uest's blog etc) that they will take residency as house band for NBC's Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. We can't help but assume this would lay to rest any doubts the crew had as to whether they should remain on the road or take a much more stable late night TV gig. See 'em on tour while you can!
