Earlier this month, Drake revealed his plans for another R&B mixtape -- one in the same vein as his Grammy-nominated breakthrough, 'So Far Gone.' Talk erupted over who the Toronto emcee would tap to craft the project.

"He actually asked me to do something for his R&B [mixtape]," veteran crooner Tank tells The BoomBox. "That's gonna work out super great."

Tank, who is busy promoting his fourth album, 'Now or Never,' applauds Drake for his attempts in creating a mixtape solely focused on rhythm and blues. "I can't hate on that at all," he admits. "That's gonna be awesome to hear his melodies and his vocals over that R&B thing. When you hear my album, I think you're gonna hear a lot of the same kind of character in what he's probably gonna put together for his, in making it current and making it sound great but also giving you the passion and the melodies and the things that make you feel music."

Drake's new mixtape, though R&B at heart, is sure to feature a tinge of hip-hop flair that critics have grown to love. As for Tank, the singer puts the Young Money affiliate on a pedestal, solely for his mission to deviate from the norm. "Drake is an anomaly; he's a hybrid," states Tank. "You can probably count on one hand, maybe only two fingers, the amount of Drakes that exist where he's able to sing and rap and do it well."

Tank's fourth effort, 'Now or Never,' is set for release on September 21 via Atlantic Records.
