Talib Kweli was reportedly kicked out of his own after-party this past Tuesday, after getting into a scuffle with his wife.

According to the NY Post, the Brooklyn rapper held the listening event for his new album 'Gutter Rainbows' at NYC bar Snap. All things were going well until his wife, DJ Eque, "flew into a rage and launched herself at Kweli," after allegedly seeing him flirt with other women.

The Post's source claims "Kweli made a joke thanking the sponsor, Hennessy, for paying for his wedding in 2009, saying otherwise he wouldn't have gotten married. The party later carried on in a private room. When his wife saw him chatting and being friendly with other women, she flew off the handle. She went at him and they were almost wrestling before they fell back on a table, smashing some glasses. Security then asked them to leave, and they carried on the argument outside as they got into their car.

Kweli and Eque were married in California in 2009. Kweli is known for his politically conscious music and community work, and is currently a spokesperson for P'Tones Records, a non-profit music program for urban youth.

Representatives for the couple have yet to comment on the incident.
'Gutter Rainbows' is out on Jan. 25 via Javotti Media/3D.
