SZA’s ‘CTRL’ Expected to Debut in the Top 5 on Billboard 200 Chart
SZA's much talked about, critically-acclaimed debut album, CTRL, is expected to land in the top five on the Billboard 200.
The singer/songwriter's album is an intimate exploration of love and relationships, at times aching in its delivery, while at others defiant and vulnerable. Basically, CTRL is a lesson in love and life from the perspective of a 20-something woman who has insight, yet is still trying to figure it all out.
Already being lauded by critics and fans alike, it appears that the album will hit the top 5 on the charts, and is expected to come in at No. 4 with a projected 45,000 units earned. Katy Perry's Witness, is expected to come in at No. 1, earning a projected 190,000 units.
This would make the second time that a TDE artist has debuted in the top 5 this year. Kendrick Lamar's acclaimed album, Damn., landed in the top spot following its release in April.
