Suge KnightFormer Death Row gangster Marion "Suge" Knight is currently being held in custody by the Los Angeles Police Department's Robbery and Homicide Division.

The 45-year-old mogul was pulled over shortly after midnight on Thursday, May 20, while driving a white Cadillac Escalade near the intersection of 147th Street and Crenshaw Boulevard in Gardena. Neither police officials or Knight's attorney Marc Brumer have disclosed the reason for his arrest as yet. But according to the Los Angeles Times, the LAPD were on a manhunt for Knight after he allegedly pulled a weapon on a man in South Los Angeles on Wednesday night.

Back in March, rumors surfaced that Suge Knight was responsible for assaulting and robbing Bay Area rapper Yukmouth of $92,000 in jewelry. Yukmouth denied Knight's involvement in the incident, stating that the Los Angeles police were using it as a medium to get to the rap monolith. "L.A. police have been after Suge Knight for years and are lying about me to try to get to him," Yukmouth said. "If Suge was caught jaywalking they would lock him up. I never filed a police report and I never pressed any charges." LAPD detective Jeff Briscoe later confirmed that Yukmouth had identified Knight as the suspect before retracting his story.

Knights's string of bad luck has multiplied in recent weeks. After losing some teeth in a March car accident, he was forced to miss a Miami court date for a trial brought against Kanye West. Knight is attempting to sue West after being shot in the leg at pre-MTV Video Music Awards party thrown by the rapper/producer. In 2008, Suge's Death Row Records was auctioned off for roughly $24 million, an extremely low figure considering the iconic rappers associated with the label. Earlier this year, TMZ reported that Knight was also some $6 million behind in payments to the IRS. Keep your chin up, Suge.
