If the first week of November is any indication of what's to come this month in terms of new music, then we're looking forward to hearing some amazing songs in hip-hop and R&B.

We compiled a few tunes you may have missed in our latest Songs of the Week column. Last week's lineup included tracks from Mississippi rhymer Big K.R.I.T., veteran rapper Snoop Dogg and production duo Surf Club, who scored a big hit with their recent offering, "Go Off" featuring Quentin Miller and Travi$ Scott. All of them were worthy of inclusion, but our new lineup matches up well and features a lot of firepower.

This week's edition includes new songs from Pimp C, Sheek Louch and Babyface. So without further ado, enjoy our newest batch of tracks for Songs of the Week below.

    "3 Way Freak"

    Pimp C Featuring Lil Wayne

While he was a beloved figure during the prime years of his career, the late Pimp C's influence on southern rap has grown even greater since he passed away in December of 2007. Fans of the legendary Texan were gifted with an unexpected treat this week in the rapper's new single, "3 Way Freak." The vocals may be vintage, but come across as if they were freshly recorded, with Pimp's gritty rhymes instantly taking your ears for hostage. "I'm gripping my wood, I got money to burn / I got a 3 Way Freak and she ready to earn / I make her open it up, I make her give me some mo / I got a Bentley outside and she ready to go," he raps, leaving little to the imagination in what you would expect from the late rapper. Pimp C lays down his macking posthumously with a little help from Lil Wayne and earns a spot in this week's lineup of heaters.

    "What's On Your Mind"

Sheek Louch Featuring Jadakiss & A$AP Ferg

Known more for his hard-boiled offerings, Sheek Louch is back with a lively track with "What's On Your Mind." On the song, the Silverback Guerrilla spits care-free bars like "I be thinking bout my money, yup, bout my wealth / How I be drinking, you be thinking I don't care about my health / But I'm lighting and I'm smoking I got 50 on my wrist and I ain't joking." Sheek's lyrical ammo matches perfectly with the boombastic production. Joined by LOX cohort Jadakiss and Harlem, N.Y.'s own A$AP Ferg, Sheek comes through with an undeniable single that is one of the catchiest releases he's churned out in some time.

    "We've Got Love"

    Babyface

R&B may be geared more towards the turn-up than feel-good love songs, but don't tell that to Babyface, who has come out of hibernation with some new tunes to share with the world. The accomplished singer-songwriter recently popped up alongside Ty Dolla $ign on "Solid," but what we weren't prepared for was him unleashing new music of his own. But we are not complaining. His latest single, "We've Got Love," is an undeniable upbeat jam. Crooning, "We done pain and sorrow, we done been through change / We done had way better days / But I seen tomorrow, I ain't see no rain / 'Cause our sun gon' shine again," the singer's legendary pen is far from rusty and is still capable of delivering quality lyrics. Babyface's new album, Return of the Tender Lover, arrives in stores on Dec. 4.
