Serena Williams Loses in US Open Semifinals, Everyone Blames Drake

Drake may have won the rap battle against Meek Mill, but now he’s upsetting tennis fans everywhere following Serena Williams’ stunning loss at the U.S. Open semifinals in Queens, N.Y.

On Friday (Sept. 11), Drizzy showed up to Arthur Ashe Stadium to support his rumored girlfriend, who was playing her semifinal match against Roberta Vinci. Williams lost to Vinci in three sets: 2–6, 6–4, 6–4. The tennis diva was on a quest to become the first player since Steffi Graf in 1988 to complete the calendar Grand Slam. Unfortunately, her journey would not come to fruition.

But now that Williams' lost what is arguably the biggest game of her career, fans on Twitter blame the defeat on Drizzy. Folks are hitting Drake with vicious slander and even created a hashtag #BlameDrake.

"Serena is still the greatest player. I can't seem to shake the feeling that this is all Drake's fault," tweeted one fan, while another commented, "I didn't expect Serena Williams 2 win the US Open semi final when she spent her training and free periods kissing round new york with Drake."
