Vocalists are known for their ability to create harmonies and melodies, so when word got around that British crooner Sam Smith was unable to speak and had to undergo surgery, his fans were a bit concerned. Thankfully, the "Stay With Me" singer has made huge strides in his recovery and can finally speak again.

In addition to an update on his well-being, Smith also announced that he has rescheduled his In the Lonely Hour tour -- which he ended early in April due to his medical condition -- and is now primed to finally make it to the remaining stops starting Nov. 28 in Australia. Australia.

“Australia, I am so so happy to finally have some good news for you... I can now announce that my cancelled IN THE LONELY HOUR tour dates have been rescheduled!!,” Smith said in a statement. "I’m unbelievably excited to get back onstage and perform for you all again, and I promise it will be so much better than it would have been before when my voice was damaged. The past few months have been incredibly difficult, but the support, love and patience my fans have shown me is absolutely unreal. I am so grateful to every one of you. I can’t wait to see you all."

In a caption on Instagram, he wote: "From all the bad news has come some good news!! Not only am I coming back to make up for the cancelled shows but I get to play bloody arenas!!!! So excited to sing for all of you and apologise personally for my bleeding throat xxxx."

The announcement coincided with Smith's Facebook post revealing that he was healed, simply writing, "I CAN SPEAK AGAIN!!!!!!!!" with a still from the Disney movie The Little Mermaid attached.

The medical team at Massachusetts General Hospital, where Sam Smith underwent surgery, described Smith's ailment as “the result of unstable blood vessels in the vocal cord that can rupture and prevent vocal performance."

Now when is that new album coming, Sam?

I CAN SPEAK AGAIN!!!!!!!!
