Royce Da 5'9" returns with a new project, Book of Ryan.

The album is a personal offering, as evidenced by the title taken from his government name, Ryan Montgomery. Royce says he put his all into the 21-track project, holding nothing back.

“Everything that I’ve learned, that I went through in life up to this point, I put that all into this album,” Royce said in an exclusive interview with HotNewHipHop.

He says that longtime fans will get an intimate glimpse into his life's journey— everything it took to get him to this point as a man.

“Along with everything from my childhood that made me the kind of person I am, you’ll get a sense of why it took so long to develop on that level, why I started drinking, everything," he said. "I pretty much put everything. I financially exhausted myself. Physically exhausted myself. Mentally exhausted myself. I finished this album, and damn near banged my fist against the track board, in tears. This shit is finally out of me. It was that type of feeling.”

Yesterday, Royce dropped off the video for "Caterpillar" featuring Eminem. This album follows Royce's recently released, impressive joint collaboration with DJ Premier, PRhyme 2which dropped back March.
