It looks like the honeymoon is over for Romeo, who will no longer be dancing with the stars, after being voted off the popular ABC dancing competition show.

On Monday (May 9), the rapper, was axed from 'Dancing with the Stars,' after making several missteps with partner Chelsie Hightower, despite being complimented by head judge Len Goodman, who told him "last week, I said you had to up your game, and that's just what you've done."

Romeo, who appeared on the second season of the show but withdrew and was replaced by his father, Master P, said he was "surprised" at the voting, having beaten out 'Karate Kid' actor Ralph Macchio, who danced with a ruptured cyst behind his knee, and received the lowest score of the night.

"I'm surprised because I did my best dances, but at the same time I'm not surprised. This show has changed my life forever. I didn't dance at my own prom," Romeo revealed. "I've turned down a lot of movies because I was afraid to dance... I think I showed kids, anything is possible if you try."

Although he will no longer be dancing on the show, which is now in its 12th season, Romeo still had some words of encouragement for his former partner, Hightower. "I wanted to do this for you. We can dance after this," Romeo exclaimed.

"I'm super happy and so proud of you," she replied, beaming.

Only four contestants remain for next week's semi-finals, including Macchio, actresses Kirstie Alley and Chelsea Kane, and NFL star Hines Ward.
