Rihanna’s ‘Kiss It Better’ Reaches Platinum Status: ‘Praises Be to God’
Rihanna has a fantastic 2016 and it looks like 2017 is going to be even better. The Grammy-winning singer’s song “Kiss It Better” has just reached platinum status.
The RIAA announced today (Jan. 4) that the Anti single sold one million copies and joins “Work” and “Needed Me” as both of those songs have reached 4x platinum within a year. RiRi went on her Instagram account to thank her fans for their ongoing support. Thanks again [Navy]. Praises be to God,” she wrote.
On a side note: Rihanna's anthemic 2012 single, reached 6x platinum and her "FourFiveSeconds" single, featuring Kanye West and Paul McCartney, have been certified 3x platinum by the RIAA.
Outside of her sales achievement, Rihanna is being recognized by the music and radio industries. The 28-year-old singer recently garnered eight nominations for the 2017 Grammy Awards. She also nabbed 10 nods for the 2017 iHeartRadio Music Awards.
