Rick Ross to Headline BMI Unsigned Urban Showcase

Rick Ross is billed to headline BMI's annual Unsigned Urban showcase in Atlanta next month.

The Maybach Music Group CEO will take the stage at the Buckhead Theater alongside a combination of stars in the recording industry, as well as unsigned talent. Aspiring musicians looking to work in R&B, rap and hip-hop are encouraged to apply for a chance to showcase their talents during the event. Four winners will be chosen to perform on the spot in front a host of celebrity judges, for a chance to win a selection of prizes.

Attendees will be treated to a mixture of high-energy performances at the hands of both unknown and well-known artists. Singer-songwriter Sean Garrett, hip-hop trio Travis Porter and rapper Ace Hood are all scheduled to perform while comedian Lil Duval and DJ Drama will host.

Contestants will also be lead through the Unsigned Urban showcase competition. Additionally, BMI will bestow the Legends of ATL award to a local community member recognized for their contributions to the Atlanta music scene.

Tickets go on sale Tuesday (April 26) via Ticketmaster for $25, and will be sold at the door for $35. The BMI Unsigned Urban Showcase takes place May 18.
