Rick Ross Delays Release of ‘Mastermind’ Album

Rick Ross' 'Mastermind' album was initially set to drop this year on Dec. 17, but the Bawse shares that he's pushing the album back to a date that hasn't been revealed.

During an interview with DJ Scream on SiriusXM's 'Hip-Hop Nation,' the rapper tells DJ Scream why he chose to delay the project. "I’m still putting the final touches on the album," he shares. "You know me, making that classic is more important than anything. Making sure the streets are overwhelmed with what I am doing is what is most important. I’m gonna try to get it to you, and if I don’t, I’ll get it to you ASAP.”

Ross released the song 'No Games' as the lead-in for the project, which serves as the follow-up to 2012's ' God Forgives, I Don't.' Recently, the Miami native shared with select press in New York City that he was going to open himself up more for this album and extend himself for interviews and the like.
