Earlier today, The BoomBox reported that the lawsuit between the woman shot by Remy Ma and the incarcerated rapper's former label had been dismissed by a New York City judge. But even before the news broke this morning, Remy Ma seemed to already be in good spirits. The female emcee recently sat down for a prison interview and discussed a host of topics ranging from other female rappers like Nicki Minaj, how being locked-up has impacted her life, to news of a collaboration project between her and husband/rapper Papoose.

"It's not as bad as it was when I first got here," Remy admits, pinpointing the prison guards. "I think when I first got here they wanted to show that I wasn't any different than anyone else, but in all actuality ... they was going harder on me than anybody else." Among the three things she misses most are her son, family and "just chillin' -- waking up doing what I wanna do."

Remy is scheduled to be released in 2013, but says she is working on an appeal that she hopes will get her out prior to then.
