The 2015 Governors Ball kicked off on New York City’s Randall’s Island Friday (June 5), rain or shine. Unfortunately, drizzle made for slippery conditions and just hours into day one of the three-day festival, Rae Sremmurd’s Slim Jimmy had a nasty slip and fall onstage.

Swae Lee and Slim were taking over the main stage shortly after their 1:30 p.m. set time when the latter jumped off a speaker to get closer to the crowd during their performance of "Unlock My Swag," Billboard reports. He fell and cut his leg open on a piece of glass, which resulted in two security guards assisting him off of the stage. A video of Slim Jimmy being helped along after the tumble is shown below. Moments later, Swae came to his rescue to tell the audience the cut was pretty bad.

"This shit is pretty crazy. ... This n----'s leg is like, split open, I'm serious," he stated. Rae Sremmurd's DJ also confirmed the severity of Slim Jimmy’s injury. “Go pray for Jimmy tonight. He's hurt real bad," he added.

Despite having a severely injured leg, Slim Jimmy didn’t let his fans down. He emerged from behind stage and spoke to the concertgoers from the DJ booth. "I got a big ass piece of glass in my leg, so if you got that video, put that shit on Instagram," he instructed. At his request, the show went on and Swae continued to perform tracks from their new album, Sremm Life, including "My X" and "No Type."

We hope Slim Jimmy has a speedy recovery. A photo showcasing him sitting on a stretcher in an ambulance with his leg wrapped in a bandage appears on Rae Sremmurd's official Instagram account. The caption: "@jxmmis is doing ok thanks to all the fans #GovernorsBallNYC2015."

Governors Ball continues through Sunday (June 7) with performances from Drake, Weird Al Yankovic, Charlotte OC, Bishop Nehru and more.
