Q-Tip has been tapped as one of the producers on Jay-Z's next album that's slated for release in 2011.

Although details are scarce, Tip revealed the news in an interview with XXL. "We're doing some stuff for Jay-Z's new album that's coming out in the spring," he said. "After Jay's thing I'm gonna start recording my new album ... Kanye should be working on that, too."

While discussing his artistic evolution the A Tribe Called Quest rapper explained that at 40-years-old he has yet to reach his plateau and has no intentions of retiring from the music game. "You know, I hate to sound self-involved but I feel like I haven't peaked yet. I have a lot to give still. I still look the part... I still got it."

With over 20-years in the industry under his belt, Tip has made waves as both a rapper and producer. Under his often used production alias Abstract, and teaming with fellow Tribe member Ali Shaheed Muhammad, the duo have worked with likes of Mariah Carey, Mos Def, Nas and Whitney Houston.
