The latest person to sound off on the Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj American Idol fight? President Obama!

While doing a radio interview with The Yo! Show, he was asked his thoughts on the reported feud between the two judges. The Prez didn't hold back, saying: "I think that they are going to be able to sort it out. I am confident. I'm all about bringing people together, working for the same cause. I think both outstanding artists are going to be able to make sure that they're moving forward and not going backwards."

Pressed on which artist was his favorite of the two, Obama stayed neutral, but spoke of Mariah Carey first. "[Mariah's] actually done some events for us. I've gotten to know her and Nick [Cannon]. She's a wonderful lady," he said.

And despite some confusion after Nicki Minaj endorsed Mitt Romney in her song, Obama said he has no hard feelings of the singer, saying: "Nicki I don't know, but I've got her on my iPod."

As for how Obama thinks he'd do on the singing competition show, he laughed: "You've heard me sing Al Green. I'm going to try to keep my day job!"
