Playboi Carti can breathe a sigh of relief as prosecutors have decided not to charge the rapper with domestic battery. TMZ reports that the L.A. City Attorney will not file charges against the Atlanta rhymer stemming from his heated argument with girlfriend at LAX back in July.

As we previously reported, the “Magnolia” artist allegedly grabbed his girlfriend’s backpack and violently yanked her out of the airport terminal. An eyewitness saw the encounter and called police who then confronted Playboi and his girlfriend. After an on-scene investigation, the rapper was arrested.

Although prosecutors are not charging Playboi with domestic battery, they still want to hold an informal hearing with the rapper and his girlfriend to discuss how they can avoid arguments like that in the future. It speculated that Playboi would most likely get a stern warning and go to some type of anger management program. However, prosecutors could still file charges if Playboi gets arrested again within a year.

Reps for Playboi Carti had no comment on the matter.

In other good news, Playboi's hit single "Magnolia" has reached platinum status, according to XXL. The song has become a bonafide summer anthem and for JAY-Z, the inspiration behind his stellar album, 4:44.

“I want my impact to be legendary. I want everyone to remember me as just a mogul. A young dude that just lit forever,” said Playboi about his future goals in the music game.
