Pharrell Williams is spreading his ubiquitous hit 'Happy' in a positive and tangible way. The hitmaker has teamed up with the United Nations Foundation to launch a great initiative later this month.

Williams’ global campaign International Day of Happiness kicks off on March 20. The goal for the one-day initiative is to remind people that everyone deserves a chance at a happy and healthy life.

On March 10, Williams wants his fans to post YouTube videos of themselves being happy in whatever they are doing. They should label it #HAPPYDAY and then register their submission at 24HoursofHappiness.com. Then at noon on March 20, Skateboard P will showcase the best "Happy" video submission on the website. Fans are also encouraged to use the #HAPPYDAY hashtag throughout the day on all of the social networks.

In addition, the producer is encouraging people to donate to the Central Emergency Response Fund, which provides funds to families affected by natural disasters and provide humanitarian assistance.

Williams recently performed 'Happy' at the 2014 Academy Awards and was shimmying with Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o.

Pardon the pun, but we're happy that Pharrell Williams is launching this global initiative of happiness.
