Brooklyn rapper Papoose is staying loyal to his longtime love and currently incarcerated femcee Remy Ma. In a recent interview Papoose revealed that Remy's appeal on first-degree assault charges stemming from a shooting incident in 2007 is looking positive.

"I can't speak about it in detail due to legal reasons, but we just recently got some great news concerning her second appeal," Papoose said in an interview. "Let's just say that she's blessed. I highly doubt she will have to serve the full time. If justice is served, then she will come home now. My plan is to see her walk out of that hellhole and get a breath of fresh air so we can enjoy life."

The couple married in 2008, while Remy, born Remynisce Smith, was behind bars. She is currently serving an eight-year sentence for shooting friend Makeda Barnes-Joseph in the stomach after leaving a New York City nightspot. Although she maintains that the shooting was an accident, Barnes-Joseph saw the situation much differently, filling an $80 million lawsuit against the Bronx born rapper. If her appeal is denied Remy will stay behind bars until 2014.
