Obama Calls Jay-Z & Beyonce ‘Good People,’ Discusses Friendship
It's no secret who Jay-Z and Beyonce are voting for -- hip hop's power couple has made it extremely clear that they support President Obama -- but how close is the relationship between the two families?
Apparently, they actually are friends outside of the media spotlight, which is just about as endearing as celebrity friendships get.
In a recent interview with Cleveland radio station Z107.9, President Obama addressed his friendship with the Watch the Throne MC and his wife, calling them "good people," and revealing that Michelle and Beyonce are "good friends."
Even as Obama plays up his connection with Jay and Bey, Jay-Z raps about their friendship himself in a line off "On to the Next One" from The Blueprint 3. "MJ on the summer jam, Obama on the text/ Ya'll should be afraid of what I'm gonna do next" Hov brags.
According to Obama though, the two discuss very normal things, and primarily discuss their families.
"We talk about the same things I talk about with all my friends. I made sure that Jay-Z was helping Beyonce out [with the baby], and not leaving it all with Beyonce and the mother-in-law."
