Fans waited with bated breath for Drake to drop his More Life playlist on Saturday (March 4). But alas, no Drizzy project.

The first sign that a playlist might not surface was Drake’s slick Instagram post where he alluded that it might premiere on his OVO Sound radio program. That post was quickly removed without notice. Then an updated iTunes bio for the rap superstar surfaced, which stated that The Weeknd will be featured on More Life.

But late Saturday night, it became evident that Drake’s project was not going to appear. The confirmation came by way of Drizzy’s longtime collaborator/producer Noah “40” Shebib who went on his instagram and said that he’s still working on the album, while saluting his good friend's new restaurant venture.

"Shout out my long time brother Ziggy who just opened his new place," he wrote in the caption. "Zig I'll be there asap just got to finish More Life."

While some fans were disappointed that More Life didn't get release, at least it's reassuring that the project is close to completion. Hey, you can't rush perfection.

In the meantime, Drake is wowing audiences on his Boy Meets World Tour in the U.K.
