Nick Cannon Files for Divorce from Mariah Carey
According to TMZ, Nick quietly filed papers on Dec. 12 to sever ties from his superstar wife. Several days prior, on Dec. 8, the 'Wild 'N Out' host shared that he and the songbird were separated on an appearance on 'Good Morning America.'
Last month, the singer had a very public snafu when she showed up extremely late to rehearse for NBC's annual tree lighting ceremony. At the time, TMZ cited that Mariah was busy on the phone with her lawyers discussing her divorce and was unable to make the rehearsal on time. As we all know, her vocal performance of 'All I Want for Christmas Is You' was less than stellar.
Mariah and Nick were married in 2008, and have two young children, twins Monroe and Moroccan, who were born in 2011.
Despite personal troubles, both Nick and Mariah have been enjoying success on the career front. The Grammy award-winning songstress just announced her Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace while the entertainment mogul continues to focus on his music and TV career.
