Now that have a new Dr. Dre album for our listening pleasure, what could September possibly do to top August? The answer: Not that much. Although there are no album releases of the Dr. Dre caliber, there are still a few to take note of as we roll into the autumn months.

The big one this time is Mac Miller. He's arguably the most improved rapper of the past five years, growing from fresh-faced party boy raps to respectable experimentation. The next step for the Pittsburgh native is GO:OD AM, his third album. The unconventional title suggests that he's still going the experimental route. Besides "100 Grandkids" and "Break the Law," the full track list and features haven't be revealed, but it looks like the Sept. 18 release date should hold.

R. Kelly also has a new album coming out. After going the R-rated with 2013's White Panties, the veteran singer is looking to keep the output flowing with Buffet. The project gets its title from R. Kelly's desire to appeal to his wide, generations-spanning fan base. Buffet drops Sept. 25.

Hip-hop dominates the month and along with that comes some shaky release dates from a few rappers whose albums have been oft-delayed. Ty Dolla $ign's Free TC should arrive, but that album has been pushed back several times. Young Thug's Hy!£UN35 is scheduled for a Sept. 24 release, but that sounds like more of an ETA than a fixed date when he announced it. Travi$ Scott's Rodeo also falls in this category, though his fans are certainly prepared to scoop it up any day it drops.

We're entering the final stretch of what's been a great year for hip-hop. Check out what's to come in September below.
