Rapper Nas dropped some major news in regards to his future at Def Jam. On ScHoolboy Q's 'Studio (Remix),' the Queens native announced that he has completed his final album on the historic rap label.

"Finished up my new album / Single about to be dropping / Last album on Def Jam and I got so many options," he raps on the remix, which also features singer BJ the Chicago Kid.

This will be Nas' 11th album of his career, which is a milestone in itself. The collection will follow behind the rapper's 'Illmatic XX' retrospective in celebration the album's 20th anniversary. Prior to that, Nas released 2012 'Life Is Good,' which garnered critical acclaimed.

In the meantime, Nas is keeping himself busy with his recently launched Mass Appeal Records. Rappers Fashawn, Bishop Nehru and Boldy James are among the artists on the label's roster.

You can catch Nas next month performing on the Time Is Illmatic tour. The month-long trek kicks off on Oct. 2 in Rochester, N.Y., and ends on Oct. 19 in Oakland, Calif. Before each show on the tour, Nas will screen the documentary of the same name and then perform ‘Illmatic’ in its entirety.
