Monica's latest album, Code Red, is a solid effort with 14 tracks of pure R&B and soul. And every song she wanted on there, is there.

But that doesn't mean the "So Gone" singer didn't craft some other hits in the studio. During her three year hiatus, Monica created songs with longtime friends and genius hitmakers, Timbaland and Missy Elliott, as well as with other well known producers. Ultimately "All Men Lie," feat Timbo and "Code Red" with Missy made it to the official LP. But while the other songs didn't -- that doesn't mean that fans won't get to hear them.

Monica said she picked "the best" songs for Code Red, she also shared that sometimes songs are kept "in the vault intentionally" for soundtracks or future releases.

But "anything we really wanted on there I made sure it was there," she said afterwards. While we continue to bump Code Red, we certainly can't wait to hear what else Monica has "in the vault."

As Christmas approaches, Monica continues to gift us with nuggets of personal stories and behind-the-scenes information of her latest album, Code Red. Check out the video above, which is a part of a five-part series that will continue throughout the week.
