Miguel and J. Cole Share New Version of ‘Come Through And Chill’ [LISTEN]
The song, which was first released in 2016, will appear on Miguel's upcoming album, War and Leisure. This isn't the first time the two have joined forces—Miguel also showed up on J. Cole's 2010 song, "All I Want Is You."
Miguel said that partnering with the North Carolina rapper once more made perfect sense.
"We were kind of listening to the album and going through and trying to understand what we could add was tasteful but didn't really dilute it too much," Miguel told Beats 1 host Zane Lowe in a recent interview. "Cole is always the perfect person to collaborate with."
This new song comes on the heels of several singles from War and Leisure, including "Pineapple Skies," "Told You So," "Shockandawe" and "Sky Walker" with Travis Scott. The singer says that his new album, his first since 2015's Wildheart, was inspired by the threat of nuclear war and Donald Trump.
“You see us on the brink of nuclear war over Twitter,” he said. “Or the rise of the far right in Germany and France. So my whole mindset for the album is: what are we supposed to do caught in the middle of this? We’re at the brink of complete war and complete pleasure, at all times, every day.”
