Method Man is a fan of Tyler, the Creator, but he draws the line at comparing Odd Future to the Wu-Tang Clan.

The 'Bring the Pain' rapper was in the U.K. on tour with Wu-Tang when he explained that juxtaposing the California collective with his crew from Staten Island is not really appropriate.

"Why? 'Cause of the eyeball thing. 'Cause he put the black eyeball things in," Meth told SoulCulture TV, referring to his video for 'Bring the Pain' and Tyler, the Creator's 'Yonkers.' While both crews are fronted by a prominent de facto leader -- in the case of the Wu-Tang it's the RZA -- Hot Nicks thinks the neophytes should steer clear of the inevitable comparisons.

"That's what media does, they compare s---," said Method Man. "Like when [Mike] Tyson first came out I remember people saying, 'He reminds me of a young Joe Frazier.' They always gotta compare something to something to give you a scale, so to speak, in your mind. If I was Odd Future, I wouldn't want to be compared to anybody."

Method Man also made it clear that he held no ill will against Odd Future and is into their music. "I love that group by the way," said Meth. "I love Odd Future, I like Tyler, the Creator, that song 'Yonkers.' I like Odd Future. They're good, they're different. It's a breath of fresh air. Tyler, the Creator...very...weird. Very weird. But I'm into weird s---."
