Ma$e Returns With ‘Why Can’t We’ Featuring HER
Ma$e is finally back with a new song. Thankfully, he's not in the Pastor Mase mode he was in during that lukewarm 2004 comeback.
This is smooth-talking Ma$e here -- the same one Kanye West featured on 'Cruel Summer' and Pusha T borrowed from on 'My Name Is My Name.' The Harlem native channels a bit of his '90s mindset and tackles hip-hop's current renewed obsession over minimalism, informing us he "likes his girls in bikini and fur" over soft claps and stomps.
'Why Can't We' feels more like a sampler, however. Ma$e performs in short bursts as featured artist HER fills the space with some crooning.
The new track may land on the rapper's new album, 'Now We Even,' which doesn't have a release date yet.
