Mario Reveals J. Cole Collaboration, Talks New Album
Fresh off his return to the R&B game with his Nicki Minaj-assisted song "Somebody Else," Mario is giving some more information on his upcoming fifth album, the follow-up to 2009's D.N.A.
In an interview with Baltimore's 92 Q Jams, the R&B singer describes the sound of the project as well as a special guest that will collaborate with him.
"If I had to pick a word, I would definitely say refined," Mario states of the opus. "Creatively, sonically. All around the board."
A song he's looking forward to sharing with fans is "Fatal Distraction," which features a guest verse from J. Cole. "It just talks about the distractions and temptations and the infatuation that can have on a man when it comes to a woman," the Baltimore native reveals.
Mario plans to record a duet for the LP, which is set to arrive in September, and tap Sevyn Streeter for the job.
He'll announce the album title via his Twitter account later this month.
