Lil Wayne is getting into a new line of work -- sports management.

Weezy is starting an agency, Young Money Sports, and he's already signed his first client, former Florida State University linebacker Reggie Northrup.

“Lil Wayne seen something in me,” said Northrup in an interview with the Tallahassee Democrat. “They’ve been supporting me through this process, he said, “and I’m blessed to be affiliated with them.”

According to Northup, the Young Money leader has even seen him in action. “He’s seen me play. He wanted to start something up, and get involved in the sports world. He’s a big fan of sports.”

Weezy is definitely a fan of sports -- he's often a commentator on ESPN while expressing his fandom for the Green Bay Packers (despite being a New Orleans native.) It seems, Tunechi's eye for sports and business moves is paying off; Northup is looking like a solid choice.

Not only did he lead Florida State in tackles during his junior and senior year, he also played in all 13 games despite tearing his ACL in the previous season's College Football Playoff semifinals.

Young Money Sports will handle Northup's marketing and branding. The "A Milli" rapper isn't the only hip-hop star to delve into the sports world. Jay Z's sports management company, Roc Nation Sports is likely to be tough competition for Weezy's new sports management brand.

But either way, it's nice to see the two rhymers shine. Check out the photo of Weezy and and his latest non-music related signee above.
