Lil Wayne had a less than stellar party experience this week while spending downtime in Canada.

The tattooed rhymer, who was in Canada for an I Am Still Music tour performance, was hosting the afterparty to his concert at area nightclub La Mouche in Montreal Wednesday night (Aug. 17). During a time when he should have been celebrating the forthcoming release of his highly anticipated album 'Tha Carter IV,' he was instead fighting to breathe properly after an unidentified person released pepper spray into the air.

According to TMZ, the 28-year-old Lousiana native was forced to evacuate the premises when the lachrymatory agent, which serves to irritates the eyes to cause tears, pain and even temporary blindness, was let out through the air ducts. The assailant reportedly snuck into a back room and unleashed the chemical compound into the ventilation system, leading to partygoers, including Weezy, having to evacuate the premises.

A rep for Lil Wayne revealed that the rapper is "OK and gearing for his next stop in Toronto."
