Lil Wayne Misses Court Appearance
Lil Wayne is still sitting pretty on the charts, but his legal troubles are a bit stickier. The rapper, born Dwayne Carter, missed his August 25th court hearing stemming from drug charges in Yuma, Arizona. According to recent reports, an unknown medical procedure is to blame for his failure to appear.
In May 2008, the rapper pleaded not guilty to weapons and drug charges. Lil Wayne was arrested in January after officers seized 105 grams of marijuana, 41 grams of ecstasy and 29 grams of cocaine from his tour bus. His next court date is scheduled for October.
