Lil Wayne Has a Message for Birdman: ‘F— Cash Money’ [VIDEO]
The Lil Wayne and Birdman beef is still cooking. While headlining the 420 Rally in Denver, Wayne sent a very clear message to the CEO of Cash Money.
In a video captured and posted to YouTube by a concertgoer, Weezy invites the crowd to join him in a call-and-response chant saying "F--- the bulls---... f--- Cash Money."
Their business relationship was paired with a father/son dynamic that eventually resulted in a joint album in the early 2000s, which established to their fans, a level of loyalty not often seen in hip-hop alliances. However, Birdman has dealt with other disgruntled artists from the Cash Money empire, including his recent beef with Tyga.
What began as a label-related rift between Wayne and Birdman has now spiraled into a situation that includes missing funds, multi-million dollar lawsuits, discrepancies concerning the rights to music, delayed albums, and even an alleged murder plot.
In a recent interview with Hot 97's Ebro in the Morning, Birdman seems confident that he and Tunechi will work things out legally and amicably.
“Me and him talk. You best believe that situation is going to work itself out,” he said. "Our relationship has changed. I always wanted to be part of my son’s life any kind of way possible. That’s important to me. I love him. We’re gonna figure it out.”
