News of Lil Wayne's 'Tha Carter V’ album delay arrived just a day before the Oct. 28 expected release date but the rapper not only has an explanation for fans, but he comes baring gifts in the form of a new song.

Weezy issues a P.S.A. to explain the LP was pushed back because he’s been skating too much. Obviously joking, Tunechi got on a serious note as he told his followers the real reason for the delay: he does not want to cheat them with a rushed album.

“I recorded so many songs for this album… we had to come up with a way to get all the music out there not just 12 or 13 songs.” The answer to Weezy’s problem: release two albums this year instead of just one.

He made true on his 'Weezy Wednesdays' announcement that he would drop ‘Tha Carter V’ and another project in 2014, revealing the album would be released in two parts, with the first installment dropping on Dec. 9.

To show fans that he has an arsenal of hits and is dedicated to providing them with the nothing but the best, he also dropped a new single 'Gotti' featuring Styles P and Jadakiss of the Lox.

The gritty track is a hustler's playground as all three MC's attack the beat. While Jada and Pinero kick off the track in their signature ping-pong style, Weezy brings it home, exhibiting his lyrical prowess on two hard-hitting verses.

“I took the star out of starvation, bitch / I come from a third world start rapping in the 4th grade / Start trapping in the 6th grade, went platinum in the 10th grade / Dropped out a n---- was getting paid / This when Birdman had a fade / This when Hummers didn't come stretch but Birdman had 'em made,” he spits, listing his accomplishments.

With the latest single and a new Dec. 9 album release date, Wayne has officially extended 'Tha Carter' season. Throw those V's up.
