Lil Wayne Documentary to Premiere at Sundance Film Festival
As if the Grammy nods, a successful album and a tour weren't enough for Lil Wayne he will also premiere the documentary 'The Carter' at the Sundance Film Festival. The film is directed by Adam Bhala Lough and takes an in-depth look at the rap stars life.
"Rap? I was put here for it," Wayne says in the film's trailer. "When they played hide-and-go-seek, I'd be on the porch rapping. When they played football, I'd be on the porch rapping." The film is also said to feature Wayne's manager Cortez Bryant and Bryan "Birdman" Williams.
Although no date for the film's premier has been released it will be shown as part of the festival's "Park City at Midnight" lineup. Eight films are shown during this section of the festival and are meant to amuse, shock, or surprise viewers.
The Sundance Film Festival will take place January 15-25. Lil Wayne's tour, featuring T-Pain and Keyshia Cole, kicks off this weekend in Miami.
