Lil Wayne Dispels False Rumors About Daughter
Lil Wayne has released a statement to combat rumors that his daughter was killed in a car crash over the weekend. The rapper is setting the record straight and letting the public know that, although he appreciates their concern, his 8-year-old daughter Reginae was not in a fatal accident.
"It has come to my attention that there are recent reports circulating regarding my daughter. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who are genuinely concerned about Reginae and her safety," the rapper said. "Please allow me to dispel any rumors or speculations and report that my daughter is alive, healthy and surrounded by family who care and love her dearly. The rumors are completely false and unfounded; neither Reginae nor any other member of my family has been involved in any car accident. My family and I truly appreciate the concern and support shown to us."

The false reports of Reginae's death emerged on MTV UK's web site and has since been removed and replaced with the rapper's statement. Unfortunately, the false report was picked up by several blogs and gossip sites, sparking fans of the rapper to flood his MySpace page with condolences. A spokesperson from Wayne's label and a woman claiming to be Reginae's aunt attempted to dispel the rumor, which seems to have died down, due to the rapper's own statement.
