Lauryn Hill Announces 17-Date North American Tour
Over the past few years, Lauryn Hill's performances have been limited to rare appearances at music festivals, but beginning next week she will embark on a 17-date North American tour. The intimate tour will kick off on Dec. 27 at the Highline Ballroom in New York City, and pass through cities on the East Coast and in Canada.
A handful of shows were made public a couple weeks ago, but Hill officially announced her full tour schedule in a statement on Wednesday (Dec. 22), where she made it clear that she "may never play venues of this size again." She revealed that her performances will feature a live band and center around tracks from the 1998 Grammy-winning album, 'The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill' in addition to songs she "hasn't played since the Fugee days." The groundbreaking rapper, who has shied away from the spotlight after releasing her 1998 album, says that she looks forward to an opportunity "to see her loyal supporters up close and personal again." Tour dates after the jump.
Dec. 27: New York, N.Y., Highline Ballroom
