As he prepares to release his long-awaited Aftermath debut, good kid, m.A.A.d city, due Oct. 22, Kendrick Lamar continued his headlining 2012 BET Music Matters tour with an appearance at Toronto's Sound Academy on Wednesday night (Sept. 19). During the stop, he brought out a surprise hometown star -- Drake.

"Let me play some of my favorite motherfuckin' shit, some shit that I like to rock with when I'm in Cali, some shit that I definitely like to rock with when I'm cruisin' through the motherfuckin' streets," Kendrick said, as Drake took the stage to perform his hit "HYFR."

Although they did not perform it last night, the duo have collaborated on a track for Kendrick's debut, entitled "Poetic Justice," which was played at his listening party in New York recently. The song apparently received a warm response.
