August Alsina Hops on K. Michelle’s ‘V.S.O.P.’ Remix

The lush Chi-Lites 'That's How Long' sample featured on K. Michelle's 'V.S.O.P.' is very welcoming for an R&B voice. Singer August Alsina just happened to be that voice on the song's remix.

The thing about Alsina's performance is how he doesn't simply ride the sample. His smooth voice booms over the horns as he starts off the track and he hits those big money notes as the instrumental peaks. It's hard to follow-up, but K. Michelle is one of the few talented enough to succeed.

While K. Michelle is closing a year that saw the release of her debut album, 'Rebellious Soul,' Alsina is prepping his debut LP for 2014.
