Joe Jackson, the father of the late Michael Jackson, suffered a stroke while vacationing in Brazil. The 87-year-old matriarch of the Jackson family was admitted to Albert Einstein hospital in Brazil for treatment.

According to the U.K.’s Telegraph, Jackson was admitted to the hospital on Sunday (July 26) after suffering from an irregular heartbeat. TMZ reports that his stroke left him temporarily blind.

At the time of the stroke, Jackson was in Brazil to celebrate his 87th birthday. Brazil's Super Noticia reports the party in his honor went on as scheduled with 220 guests in attendance.

There’s no word on Joe Jackson’s current condition at this time. A family source told TMZ that doctors are running more tests and will determine if he needs to return to the U.S. for further treatment.
