A day after the Jackson family gathered to buried their father Joe Jackson at a private funeral, Marlon said the family are holding up the best as can be expected when losing a loved one.

TMZ caught up with Marlon at LAX on Tuesday (July 2) hours after the funeral and, understandably, wasn’t in the mood to talk to the paparazzi.

As we previously reported, Joe was buried on July 2 following a memorial service at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, Calif. He was laid to rest next to his son, Michael, who is entombed in the same cemetery.

Among the mourners who attended the services included siblings Janet (with her son Eissa) and Jackie, as well as Prince Jackson, Michael's son.

At the airport, when the TMZ cameraman asked Marlon how was the funeral services he said it was “really great.” When the photog pressed on and asked him how he felt about the criticisms towards his father, he replied that he doesn’t pay attention to the negativity.

“All of I have to say, I think of positive things about my father, so I’m good,” he said.

Marlon is responding to the criticisms on social media following Joe's death. Some people have called the Jackson Family patriarch an evil man and a child abuser for his disciplinarian tactics toward his children, which by many accounts, could be considered evil.

Meanwhile, Janet paid tribute to his father on her Instagram page. On Tuesday (July 2), the R&B legend shared a dated photo of herself as a toddler sitting on her father's lab. In the caption, she posted a purple heart. Janet is scheduled to close out the Essence Festival at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans on Sunday (July 8).

Joe Jackson passed away on June 27 after a bout with pancreatic cancer. He was 89. A public memorial event for Joe is supposedly in the works.
